Ah, what a great series this has been! I hope you have enjoyed reading it as much as I have enjoyed writing it. The journey has been a real treat!

If there’s anything that I want you to remember from these last two weeks of posts, it’s that the key to growth is to get out into your jungle and grow! Stay out there and you will turn out alright. I know that sounds too simple to be true. Maybe you’re thinking it’s some sort of magic. It’s not. Let me explain.

The first reason that I think this works is because we often adapt more than we realize. When you get out there and get into the same types of settings day after day, your mind starts getting used to it. Starts learning from it. I know this has been true for me as I have started construction. At first, I couldn’t hear what anyone was saying. It was a nightmare! But I kept showing up every day, and I started getting used to shouting and being shouted at. I can’t say my struggles are now a thing of the past, but I have definitely made some good progress. At least to the point that it no longer bugs me.

The second reason I think you should get out there is because all that pushing can lead to a breakthrough. Something clicked in my head somewhere in my third week on the job. It was like something woke up, and I have seen an immediate change in me since. I feel like I came out of my turtle shell and started living. Like the engine inside of me started working.

I can’t say for sure what your breakthrough moment will be. And I’m not so clever or wise to be able to give you the formula to force it to happen. You will have to go on your own adventure for that. But I will say this: dramatic changes don’t happen on the sidelines. You can’t journey from boy to man by doing nothing. You have to journey through the jungle yourself, learning to befriend, respect, and learn from it. Eventually, your “click” moment will happen. But only if you let the pressures build up and push you a little.

I’m not saying you should put yourself in any kind of danger. But if you feel just a little bit daunted by the thought of what you want to do, odds are you are thinking big enough. I feel like I’m coming through to the other side of the madness right now, so I’m confident in telling you that the stress will fade. You may not know how or when, but it will. You just need to take care to reduce it properly.

And reduce it you shall as you journey forward! But even if you don’t, even if the stress reduces you and you’re forced to make a tactical retreat, always remember this: the only person who makes no progress is the person who does not try. As charles Xavier once said

“Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, it doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.”

So accept the stumbling. Jump back if you accidentally get burnt, but never give up altogether. Whatever journey you’re on, whatever you want to grow in, marinate in it. Soak in it. Push yourself to head into deeper waters! And before you know it, you will become a legend!Thank you, as always, for reading these posts. I have had fun writing them, so I hope you have enjoyed reading them.

And buckle up as we gear up for the next series as we dive into finding your magic touch!

Until next time

May Peace be your Guide.
